1. Take it Easy:

On the day of your session, especially if you are on vacation, make sure your day isn’t too packed with adventure. You want to avoid doing too many strenuous activities that could cause injury, or make you rush to get home and change before the session.

2. Wear Sunscreen:

If you are traveling to Florida and are spending your vacation on the beach, it’s important to wear sunscreen leading up your session. And don’t forget to reapply! Often times visitors aren’t used to our sunlight and prolonged hours of it-so making sure you stay on top of the sunscreen application is key to not showing up to your photos session like a lobster!

3. Schedule your session in the middle of your trip:

Again, we have the opportunity to meet a lot of visitors that do not live in Southwest Florida. When scheduling your session, we like to try to schedule it towards the early or middle part of your trip. This is just in case it rains. Florida weather can be unpredictable, so being able to have a back-up day for your session, is certainly ideal.

Bonus Tips:

4. Bring a Change of Clothes:

If you have little ones, or plan to get in the water, a change of clothes or towel left in the car is highly recommended. We do our best to keep the little ones engaged and moving, but eventually the wonder towards the water. We love when they dip their tiny toes in the water and capturing those candid and playful moments on camera! Let them enjoy the surf, and bring a change of clothes just in case.

5. Bring Bug Spray:

Mostly in the warmer months we can have a problem with No-see-ums on the beach. They are tiny little bugs that love to hang out on in the vegetation. Sometimes you just can’t get away from them! We want to keep you as comfortable as possible, so having comforts like bug spray can be key to enjoying your session.
